Pakistan took on England in the T20 Cricket World Cup final

On Sunday the 13th of November 2022 Pakistan took on England in the 2022 T20 cricket World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

England won the toss at the MCG and our captain Jos Butler chose to field first as this would give us a better chance winning because we would know what target to aim for in our innings.

Pakistan opened their innings with a score of 8 runs without the loss of a wicket in the first over and then went onto finishing the power play with a score of 39 runs for the loss of 1 wicket.

When the 10th over concluded Pakistan had registered a score of 68 runs with the three lions taking 2 wickets.

They finished off with a total innings score of 137 runs for 8 wickets leaving England needing a total of 138 to win the World Cup.

England started there innings off well by registering a score of 7 runs with Pakistan taking a wicket in there first over.

At the end of England’s power play (first 6 overs) they had posted a score of 49 runs with Pakistan taking 3 wickets.?

The three lions had 77 runs with Pakistan still having took there 3 wickets at the halfway stage of their innings (10th over).

When they started the 15th over we needed 41 runs from 30 balls to win the 2022 T20 cricket World Cup down under.

By the time that the 17th over had commenced we needed to score 12 runs from 18 deliveries.

Going into the 18th over England needed to score 7 runs from 12 balls.

The match was concluded in the 18th over with England adding the T20 title to the 50 over title that they won in 2019.

We won the match by 5 wickets which was incredible to see after what has been a rollercoaster of a tournament for the three lions.

England’s Sam Curran was awarded player of the match and the tournament after selection by a panel of judges.

I know that this is another incredibly short blog but I wanted to document this momentous occasion.

As always I want to thank both my readers and followers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read my latest blog.
